Wow two posts in one day, Iam on a roll! Well we went to Cedar city last weekend and visited J.D.'s sister and her family. It was so much fun. They have three girls. The first night that we got there they wanted to do hair and make up. We did each others make up and to top it all of they had hot pink glitter lip stick!!! We were three hot babes in this picture. It made me excited for when Lachlynn is older and wants to do hair and make up!! The next day we rented canoe's, had a picnic, and hiked to Cedar breaks. It was so beautiful up there. On labor day we ran a 5K, saw pretty floats, hung out with the fam, and ate great food. What a fun weekend!!!!
I just have to say that I love this girl! She is sweet! She will be 6 months this week, I can't believe how fast time has gone. She is just starting to crawl, loves to eat anything you put in her mouth, and she sleeps soooo well, me and J.D. have been blessed. Well we have been up to a lot this past month, but I dont have the pictures yet. J.D. has started his last year at BYU, he will be done in April!!!!!! How exciting. Well I will have pictures soon.
Lachynn is 5 and half months old!!! She is are sweet little girl. everyone who See's her always comments on how much she smiles. She is such a happy baby!! She weighs 13 1/2 pounds and is 24 inches long, and she sleeps between 9-11 hours at night! She has been the sweetest, happiest, easiest baby ever! We sure do love are little lachlynn!!! I dressed her up as an 80's aerobic girl the other day, we were laughing till we cried!! Man oh man she is cute!! I can't believe it's been two years!!!! I have had a blast. Well my amazing mom watched Lachlynn the whole day and even watched her over night! ( what a nice mom) We went to the temple first and did a session and we were able to do some sealings. It was so neat to kneel across the altar again, it was so neat to do it for someone else. Then we hiked up the canyon that he proposed at and then went to the cheesecake factory. My uncle and aunt have a sweet condo in midway that they let us barrow, it's beautiful! We had a great time. For those of you who don't know I met J.D. when I was 16. I came across a journal that I kept in high school. It was so neat to read all the stories about my crush J.D. sheppard. Iam so glad that cheyenne set my and J.D. up clear back in high school! It is so cool to see how far we have come. J.D. did his second triathlon. It was the jordanelle. We go to park city with J.D.'s parents the night before and stay in a hotel and then wake up nice and early to watch him. He did great, he beat his time from last year!! Iam so proud of him!!
well we are home now! It is so good to be home, but we sure do miss all of the great friends we met in PA. It was such a great experience. Our first week home the sheppards had a family camping trip. We had a great time, poor little lachlynn was so cold at night she always ended up in bed with me and J.D. We had a really fun time. Lachlynn was so good while we camped! This was some pictures of her in the morning, she is a happy little thing. This is a picture that I love of Lachlynn. I got her out of the bath and she was looking at herself in the mirror. She loves that little baby she See's in the mirror.
Well this was my first fondant cake! I had a lot of fun, but I have to say I love working with butter cream frosting a lot better! The other night are friends decided that they wanted to have a camp fire and roast hot dogs and marsh mellows. It was way fun! it was Lachlynn's first fire and she loved being out side and being around the fire. J.d. being the boy scout that he is was in charge of the fire making sure it was always as big as him.
I found this cake in a book and wanted to make it for the sheppard family reunion because it had a family tree on it. It turned out pretty good! Here are some pictures of Lachlynn that I love. The one where she is on her tummy is when she first learned to roll over. She is such a big girl!!
These pictures are from our trips to Gettysburg and Washington DC Temple. Although there was a wonderfull Sheppard family reunion inbetween, I didn't bring the pictures so I will do a seperate post about our wonderfull trip to Salt Lake. The first pictures are from when we went down to Gettysburg. They have all sorts of memorials set up and we took a really neat tour of the battlefields. Lachlynn really loved the cannons.
Here is one of the Gettysburg address that we really liked.
Here are the rest of the pics...
This past weekend we went to the DC Temple with our friends that we met here, Adam and Erin. We rented a van so we could drive downn there togethere and we had a great time. The Temple was so beautifull and we watched their kids while they went through a session then we swapped so we could go through. It was a fun time had all around. Then we had some Duncan Doughnuts or were they Tommys I don't remember. Anyways, Thanks Adam and Erin for a great time.
